On solid ground
Despite the weather continuing to test us, Pannells Ash’s development has forged ahead.
The steel work for the mezzanine floor was installed, insulation laid, then the under floor heating pipe work was clipped into place, before the lads started mixing the cement and sand screed.
Plenty of sand bags
A lot of digging ahead

A handful of fibre was added to each mix to help form a mesh to bind the screed together.Inside the barn
The screed is then pumped into the building and laid 75mm thick.
A day and a half, three and a bit pallets of cement and forty tonnes of sand disappear into the buildings.
This now needs to cure, not something that can be rushed before the wooden floor and stone slabs can be laid.
Now that the scaffolding is down the barn can start to show its new look.

Time has flown by, and there’s been plenty of change in just a few months:
And can you remember all the way back to when we began?
